The Adventure Continues

Our second day on the road took us from Watertown, Wisconsin, to Gladstone, Michigan, and finally into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

We headed north through Wisconsin toward Green Bay, keeping an eye on some nasty weather along the way. A well-timed stop helped us avoid reports of some enormous hail, which was definitely not something we wanted to experience on motorcycles!

Once we crossed into Michigan, we continued along US-41 and M-35, stopping for our first chance to see and touch Lake Michigan.

The biggest surprise of the day was the riding itself. What we expected to be another day of simply getting somewhere turned into some beautiful stretches of road along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

After roughly 240 miles, we arrived in Gladstone with a new appreciation for a part of the trip we hadn’t expected to enjoy quite so much.

The Roads We Traveled

Noteworthy Roads:
• M35 — This road was spectacular! It had really great views. We expected nice but had no idea how nice it would really be. It wasn’t full of twisties but had enough curves to keep it interesting.
